Job Opportunities at Laidlaw College

Laidlaw College, formerly Bible College of New Zealand, was established in 1922. It is the largest tertiary-level evangelical college in New Zealand. As a private training establishment it offers quality education in theology, mission and ministry, counselling and from 2009, education. It is known for its commitment to an inclusive evangelicalism that welcomes both charismatic and non-charismatic perspectives.

The College has campuses in Auckland and Christchurch and a Centre of Distance Learning. In 2007, around 1500 students studied with Laidlaw College throughout the nation. This equates to about 500 equivalent full-time students.

The College offers both under-graduate and post-graduate degrees. The postgraduate programmes are administered under the name of Laidlaw-Carey Graduate School. All programmes have accreditation through the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. In partnership with other institutions our students can undertake study at doctoral level.

In June 2008, the MASTERS Institute joined the College to form the School of Education of Laidlaw College with a proven reputation for equipping quality teachers for both state, integrated and private primary schools.

Laidlaw College also operates Olive Shoots, an Early Childhood Learning Centre. Staffed by a team of friendly and dedicated teachers, Olive Shoots is licensed for up to 50 children from birth to age 5.
