Rev. Dr Mark Keown takes up new role of Director of Evangelistic Leadership

We are pleased to share the news that Rev. Dr Mark Keown, Senior Lecturer in New Testament, has taken up a new role of Director of Evangelistic Leadership focusing on evangelism and the Gospel in Aotearoa.

The role is funded by the generous ongoing support of the Kimberley Trust.

Kimberley Trust Trustee, Terry Calkin, describes the creation of this new position as the coming to fruition of a longstanding dream to further equip the Church for the work of ministry, and to see the Church continue to fully discover and realise its call to share the Gospel with those who do not yet know Christ.

“Mark has inspired many as a lecturer with his passion for evangelism and his unpacking of how the theme of the Gospel infuses the New Testament. We are thrilled at the generosity that allows him to focus his efforts in this vital area, and look forward to seeing the fruits of his research, engagement and teaching over the coming years.”
Dr Roshan Allpress National Principal of Laidlaw

Mark will remain involved with the School of Theology at Laidlaw, but his focus in this next season will be on developing new initiatives centred on the Gospel, producing resources for churches, and furthering research projects on evangelism in Aotearoa.
