Our campuses are closed from 21 December to 5 January 2025. We look forward to responding to any enquiries when we return on 6 January.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Jane has lived in Auckland for more than 30 years. She is a Laidlaw graduate and shares her week between lecturing at Laidlaw and counselling at CARE Waitakere Trust in Auckland. Jane has been in private practice since 2007 counselling adults, adolescents, and children. A special focus is counselling adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Jane has a Master of Health Science in MindBody Healthcare and is interested in the connection between mental health and the body’s responses, namely disease and illness. She has been lecturing at Laidlaw College since 2012 and currently teaches person-centred therapy and how to consider mental health from a whole person approach. Jane has three grandchildren, two adult children, and a yellow lab who loves meeting new people. She also enjoys geocaching and can juggle!
