Ngā mihi o te Kirihimete me te Tau Hou!
Our campuses are closed from 21 December to 5 January 2025. We look forward to responding to any enquiries when we return on 6 January.
Jethro graduated from Laidlaw College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Theology. Since then, he has completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from NorthTec and a Master of Human Rights from Auckland University of Technology. Jethro is currently working towards his Master of Theology at Laidlaw College.
He is passionate about exploring ‘hard issues’ and educates and researches in cutting-edge topics such as technology, mental health, sexuality, and gender identity. His research is in contextual and practical theology, as he explores the intersections between theology and everyday life.
Having spent most of his life working with youth and in community, Jethro has experience working in alternative education, youth recidivism, mental health, special needs, and in schools. Jethro has an entrepreneurial drive, having started and run five small businesses. In 2018 he began a community organisation (Te Takoha Mai Roopu Charitable Trust) focused on youth development. The Trust provides educational resources and training to rangatahi, parents, community leaders and educators, and Christian groups, as they grapple with topics such as technology, mental health, sexuality, etc.
Jethro is originally from Whangarei, is married to Elodie, and has a son, Jaxson.
